Bowman Cemetery

Our first cache of the evening. A summer storm was on the was so the air was changing. The humidity was rising and the air was beginning to stir. We entered the cemetery and were quickly on the trail of the cache. Although we drove past the area, we didn't have far to walk when we went back. Ted was highly impressed with the hiding place of this cache.

This small cemetery is import to the history of South Bend. It contains grave sites of some of the cities early settlers. There are 2,295 internments at Bowman Cemetery. The Center for History will be giving a cemetery tour of this city cemetery in August for $2. It's a beautiful spot and I'm sure the history tour would be very interesting.
